The advantage of owing your personal car is convenient for you to travel anywhere you want to go at anytime. However, the more vehicles we own, the more disadvantages we face. The followings are the main disadvantages to own a car in a city, even if you have always wanted to live in a major city.
Living cost raises as you have to pay lots money to buy a car. The more vehicles there are in the city, the more noise you will suffer. The more vehicles there are in the city, the less space we will have. Parking space is also anothe big problem in the today’s city.
Most importantly, it causes severe air pollution as well.
Therefore, some kind of polices must be set to restrict car increase in the city. Congestion charge and purchase tax seem to be appropriate measures.
