du是德语的人称代词。
人称代词（Personalpronomen）在句中指代名词，当名词不能重复时就可用，根据名词的性、数、格变化。单数人称ich、du、er、sie、es；复数人称wir、ihr、sie、Sie。
Wer bist du?—who are you?
Sie ist groß—--she is tall
Wir sind hier—we are here
Ihr seid stark—you are strong
Sie sind laut—-they are noisy
人称根据名词的性数格变化。
der Mann => er (masculine/nominative)
die Frau => sie (feminine/nominative)
das Mädchen => es (neuter/nominative)
注：德语中，人称代词根据名词的语法属性变化。并不能因为女孩子是女性，就用人称代词sie，而要用es。因为Mädchen这个单词是中性的。
